Do you use voice mail? Why or why not?
Nowadays, modern technologies let us use voice mail. I often use it too, as it makes easier to communicate if you have lots of things to tell. Do you think people should just use the Internet to find answers to “once-acceptable questions” instead of asking someone?

I suppose, it's better to google the things you are interested in, because you can find more intriguing information.
How often do you worry that contacting someone via text, call, Twitter, Facebook or voice mail is the “wrong” approach?
In most cases I don't think it's wrong, nevertheless, if I discuss some important stuff, it's better to do it face-to-face.
Pros and Cons of Voice and Text Messaging
Since the invention of the smartphones, texting and voice messages have become a common method of communication and sometimes the most preferred method. But it comes with its advantages and disadvantages.
Let's start from the pros. First, messaging as a form of communication offers an immediate reaction through the phone. It is very convenient as the user supposes a quick response. As for just texting, it's a "quiet" and secretive way to pass on your words. While texting you can commit to memory the spelling of the words if you have T9 system. "Voicing" helps you to spend less time on transmission of information, contrary to texting, which could take lots of time to write a big text. Texting sometimes acts as a shock absorber for information. Instead of calling someone and bombarding them with information that they need time to internalize before responding, texting comes in handy in offering a soft landing for the same.Texting and "voicing" are available on almost all the smartphones or another communicative devices. This makes it functional and available for anyone who wants to use it.
Although, there are few disadvantages of such types of communication. First and foremost, they don't require you to have any official vocabulary since you can easily type even in short hand as long as the message is conveyed, but you should have some literacy skills to make it clear for the reader. Or rather you can use usual spoken language while recording a message. Leaving a message somehow takes away your concentration and makes you unaware of your surrounding and this may be dangerous especially for road users.Texting may be perceived by others as abusive particularly in cases where the user uses short forms and responds using one word.
All in all, I can predict that voice and text messaging will be developing and make our life easier and more comfortable.

Thesis statement: not specific enough. It's a bad idea to just state that smth has advantages and disadvantages. It is necessary to list them to help your readers know what you are going to write about in your essay in more detail
ОтветитьУдалитьA more important question to your work is about the resources you have used to write it. Have you? If yes, you haven't provided the reference information. If no, your essay does not meet one of the requirements of the task to write it based on the discussion of at least one resource and is more like a EGE essay, which is not what you were and are supposed to write. Sorry about it.
Points to consider:
УдалитьUse of "although": it is a conjunction, not a introductory word; the comme is pit after the whole subordinate clause
