Technology in the Time of Coronavirus

Today, when almost everybody has gone on lockdown, modern technologies help us organize the life in another way, not being out of touch. They replace our past life with a virtual world, where we can play games, work, communicate with whoever and whenever you want, and of course study. In the article of Robyn Wilder "How we’re balancing kids and work in lockdown" the family describes how they are able to poise their work, children, studying and Coronavirus lockdown with the help of the technologies. So, at least such things as the Internet and a laptop give us lots of opportunities to live a rich and fulfilling life for some reasons.
First and foremost, our latest technologies let us work remotely. In the case of the family from the article it’s a good chance to continue earning money and maintain contact with their colleagues not leaving the house. Moreover, parents, in parallel, can look after the children, monitor them and their studying. There is a huge number of resources and apps for the child's development. There's something here for everyone. On the other hand, it is often claimed that staring at screens affects our eyes. I absolutely agree that spending too much time with a computer/smartphone can result in eye fatigue, irritation, redness and headache. Nevertheless, surfing the Internet you can find a lot of eye exercises, besides that, while at home struggling with lack of routine and feeling frazzled and frustrated, there is a need to do some simple exercises to prevent physical and psychological problems.
Furthermore, a lot of free courses and lessons have been opened in online form recently. They are open for everyone, you have an opportunity to master a new profession, diversify a hobby, get new skills, download apps that have been fee-based before the isolation, and, after all, learn how to cook. There are such programs as Zoom, Google Meet, etc. which allow us to communicate seeing and hearing each other. So it provides great support to the schools and universities, and more precisely to the teachers. It is placed an enormous burden of work on them, so the net and computers help to restructure their usual organization of working to save time.
Finally, I want to say that if there were no gadgets, it would be much more difficult to survive isolation, so it is important to be able to use modern technologies correctly, approach this wisely.
